Senior Administrative Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports To: Church Administrator / Pastor-in-Charge

Job Purpose

  • The Senior Administrative Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the church office, supervising administrative staff, overseeing facility and asset maintenance, coordinating church communications and database systems, and managing operational workflows across church departments and ministries.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Office Leadership & Operations Management:

  • Direct and manage day-to-day church office operations, ensuring efficient workflow, correspondence handling, and task delegation.
  • Establish church office operational goals and evaluate administrative workflows for maximum productivity.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate administrative staff, conducting periodic performance reviews.
  • Implement and enforce approved church administrative employment policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

Facilities, Procurement & Asset Management:

  • Supervise the routine maintenance, security, and upkeep of all church buildings, grounds, and physical/digital assets.
  • Coordinate and monitor purchasing and inventory for equipment, furniture, office supplies, and ministry resources.
  • Maintain records of service contracts, vendor agreements, and parish assets.

Church Administration & Ministry Support:

  • Maintain the master Church Diary, including rosters for ministers' monthly duties and scheduling parish venue usage for programs.
  • Provide administrative oversight and operational support to core church departments (e.g., Caring for Converts (C4C), Follow-Up, Hospitality, and Media).
  • Attend administrative and operational leadership meetings with or on behalf of the Senior Pastor as required.
  • Collaborate with church committees, ministry heads, and parish officers to execute strategic projects and church vision.

Church Database & Member Communications:

  • Manages the church membership database, ensuring accurate data tracking and generating weekly attendance/membership reports.
  • Coordinate external and internal communications, including weekly/monthly newsletters, email broadcasts, official WhatsApp channels, and member notifications.
  • Oversee the social media team to ensure timely content delivery, alignment with church branding, and digital engagement.

Public Relations & Compliance:

  • Build positive relationships with parishioners, visiting ministers, neighboring RCCG parishes, media teams, and external vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing, corporate rules, and church confidentiality policies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: University Degree
  • Experience: 5–8+ years of progressive administrative/operations management experience (experience in corporate, non-profit, or church environment preferred).

Skills

  • Strong leadership, staff supervision, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Proficiency in office productivity tools, database management, and bulk communication tools (e.g., Mailchimp, WhatsApp Business API).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of integrity, discretion, and financial/resource accountability.

  • Work Hours & Schedule

  • Standard Working Hours:

  • Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Sunday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (or until the end of services/events).
