About the Role The Senior Actuary will contribute to MetLife's actuarial financial and solvency reporting, working closely with the Head of Actuarial Function to review Solvency II Pillar I valuation, ORSA, and the timely submission of actuarial reports to the MetLife Europe Board. The role is designed for a driven actuary with proven leadership and strong communication skills who seeks to progress toward the Head of Actuarial Function role within the life sector in the medium to long term. What You'll Do
- Perform all aspects of actuarial work, including financial reporting and solvency reporting, with involvement in Solvency II Pillar I valuation and ORSA.
- Review Pillar I valuation and ORSA processes and ensure timely submission of actuarial reports to the MetLife Europe Board.
- Lead project and financial reporting work, and produce clear, high-quality actuarial reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Risk to provide insights that support business decisions and regulatory compliance.
- Support the development and oversight of product developments and risk/capital management; contribute to the company's financial stability and regulatory readiness.
- Position for progression into Head of Actuarial Function role within the life sector in the medium/long term. What We're Looking For
- Qualified actuary with experience in Solvency II Pillar I valuation and ORSA.
- Proven track record of leading both project and financial reporting work; strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations and Risk and to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Experience in the life insurance sector and knowledge of risk and capital management is desirable. Nice to Have
- Interest in progressing to Head of Actuarial Function in the life sector.
- Experience presenting to a board or senior stakeholders is a plus.
