About the Role
The Senior GL Accountant will take ownership of accounting across a complex, multi-entity organization. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys understanding the bigger picture, connecting the dots between entities, and digging into the why behind the numbers rather than simply processing transactions.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting across multiple related entities and understand how transactions flow throughout the organization

Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end accounting, and other core accounting activities

Analyze financial information and investigate variances or unusual activity

Maintain accurate accounting records and support reporting needs across the organization

Review and delegate routine accounting tasks to a part-time accounting intern

Work closely with management and senior leadership on accounting-related projects and business needs

Identify opportunities to improve processes and develop a deeper understanding of the company's operations

Strong accounting fundamentals with hands-on experience in general ledger accounting

Active CPA license required

Analytical and naturally curious with a desire to understand the business behind the numbers

Comfortable working independently in a small, entrepreneurial environment

Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture

Multi-entity accounting experience is highly preferred
Backgrounds that could be a strong fit include:
- Big 4 or public accounting professionals coming from audit or tax
- Industry accountants with strong hands-on accounting experience
- Experienced accountants looking to transition into a smaller organization with broader responsibilities and exposure
