Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reconciliation and Transaction Management
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across the company's internal transaction records, payment gateway reports and bank statements.
• Reconcile customer deposits, withdrawals, game transactions, winnings, platform commissions and settlement balances.
• Investigate discrepancies, missing transactions, failed or reversed payments, duplicate entries and settlement differences.
• Reconcile payment gateway charges and other transaction fees to ensure that amounts received agree with expected settlements.
• Maintain accurate records of outstanding settlements, customer wallet balances and other relevant financial liabilities.

Accounting Software Setup:

• Recommend and implement suitable accounting software, establish the chart of accounts, and develop reliable bookkeeping processes and financial controls.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow reports, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and reporting.

Tax Compliance:

• Calculate, file and remit applicable taxes, including VAT, WHT and company income tax, and maintain supporting documentation.

Internal Controls and Audit:

• Maintain accurate financial records, strengthen accounting procedures, and support audits and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• ICAN, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.

• 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience, with practical knowledge of financial reconciliation, accounting software setup and tax compliance.

• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and the ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies independently.

• Experience in online gaming, fintech, payment processing or another transaction-intensive business is a major advantage.
