Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

About This Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our corporate accounting records. In this role, you will manage complex reconciliations, lead month-end closing processes, and provide critical financial insights to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely
• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statement
• Perform complex bank, inventory, and intercompany reconciliations
• Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction
• Manage tax compliance, including sales tax filings and coordination with external auditors for annual reviews
• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Streamline accounting workflows and implement internal controls to improve data integrity
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level capacity
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proven ability to handle high-volume transactions with extreme accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience with inventory management and COGS analysis
