About the Role Senior Accountant at Madrigal, a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). This role supports the close process and financial reporting within the finance organization under the portfolio of Foresite Capital. What You'll Do
- Prepare and analyze monthly close, financial statements, and reconciliations for Madrigal
- Manage general ledger activity, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting
- Support external audits and regulatory filings; assist with internal controls and process improvements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses as needed What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in biotech/pharma or life sciences
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems (experience with NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Nice to Have
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and SOX/compliance
- Prior experience in public biotech companies or startups
