About the Role The Senior Account Manager – Team Lead will drive growth in the assigned region and lead a team of three Account Managers to achieve sales targets and maintain strong customer relationships. The role combines new business development, account management, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize revenue and renewals. The office is in Bangalore (60% on-site) with potential travel within India. What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Account Managers to drive performance, meet sales targets, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching to improve sales effectiveness.
- Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Altium’s solutions.
- Ensure high post-sales satisfaction, driving renewals and long-term partnerships.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Present Altium’s value proposition through online presentations to engineering teams, management, and C-level executives.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities in Altium’s CRM system.
- Execute specialized projects such as call-out campaigns and customer data updates.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand Altium’s customer base and enhance market penetration.
- Track and manage subscription renewal dates within the assigned territory to maximize retention.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing and customer success teams, to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and Altium’s evolving product offerings.
- Office based in Bangalore (60% of the time), with potential travel within India. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, communication, or a related field is desirable or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software sales, preferably with a focus on annual subscriptions and maintenance contracts; ECAD, MCAD, or PLM experience is a strong plus.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully managing and coaching sales teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Self-driven and results-oriented with a passion for sales and business growth.
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional Indian languages is a plus.
