About the Role This is a Senior Account Executive (Sr. Director, Business Development) role for ICON's DOCS FSP business in Shanghai, China. You will drive the growth of outsourced development services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries in the China market. You’ll lead end-to-end business development efforts, including proposals and bid defenses, and build strong relationships to position DOCS as a trusted partner. What You'll Do
- Build strong relationships across your geographic responsibility and develop new business for FSP services in China.
- Lead end-to-end BD processes, including proposals and bid defenses, to maximize opportunities and win strategic programs.
- Collaborate across functions with operations, study teams, legal and finance to ensure smooth execution and successful wins.
- Promote DOCS’s strength and reliability in operations, positioning ICON/DOCS as a preferred industry partner.
- Apply solid knowledge of the clinical research industry and leverage experience to win business in the China market. What We're Looking For
- Solid knowledge and insight about the clinical research industry.
- Proven track record of success in Business Development for FSP services across China.
- Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with outsourcing development services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors. Nice to Have
- Experience with FSP models and resourcing solutions.
- Familiarity with ICON/DOCS environment and China market.
- Prior BD leadership or regional expansion experience. Compensation & Benefits
