We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a child or children with additional needs as part of our amazing team.

Salary: Bucks Pay Range 2: 11-15, Actual salary £19,255-£20,884 (depending on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, term time only, 8.30 am-3.30 pm (½ hour lunch break)

Turnfurlong Infant School is situated approximately a mile from the centre of Aylesbury. Our warm, caring three-form entry Infant School is culturally diverse with a curriculum that provides many opportunities for enrichment. These include visitors to school, visiting authors, a travelling farm, educational visits both local and further afield, chicks hatching, Diwali dance days, Eid parties and a school Christmas to remember. We are a Read Write Inc phonics school and we are proud to hold Platinum status for Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL).

About the role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would:

  • Be the 1:1 support for a child with an

Education

  • Health and Care Plan
  • Work closely with the class teacher, other TAs and the SENDCo to support a child to meet their individual targets and make progress
  • Enable a child with SEN to gain independence skills
  • Participate fully in all aspects of the school routine, eating lunch with the children, supporting children’s social skills at playtime, joining in with activities such as PE and music
  • Develop positive professional partnerships with parents
  • Work closely with professionals from other agencies
