About the Role
As a Semiconductors & Electronic Components Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, leading cross-functional efforts to design, source, and validate electronic components for next-generation mobility technologies. You will drive localization plans, align with global strategies, and optimize the use of global resources to advance driver assistance and high-performance computing initiatives.
What You'll Do

Lead cross-functional collaboration across portfolio, materials management, production and application engineering, and quality to drive component localization plans and ensure supply chain stability.

Synthesize global part family component strategies and drive device selection; influence supplier device definitions to align with future product requirements.

Collaborate with materials management for advanced sourcing activities, ensuring cost competitiveness and supply chain stability.

Deliver market intelligence and guidance gathered from suppliers to internal stakeholders.

Define requirements and deliver electronic components fulfilling future product requirements; enhance component performance by integrating IP.

Conduct simulation reviews with suppliers and provide direction on features/functions.

Offer expertise on integrated circuitry technologies and their impact on design performance, semiconductor fabrication, and packaging/assembly.

Ensure complete data sheet and application-specific test verification via an automated test environment to characterize and benchmark component performance.

Assess supplier validation plans and analyze results for component acceptance; confirm conformance of component-level functional safety.

Drive development execution with suppliers including risk mitigation and ensure suppliers address any nonconformance.

Ensure semiconductor development and supplier management comply with customer requirements and internal best practices; drive a structured approach for all component developments.

Monitor and report development status; lead the technical interface with suppliers including global coordination of activities.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in semiconductor and/or component-level development; automotive sector experience preferred.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a highly cross-functional, collaborative environment spanning multiple continents and time zones.

Strong customer focus with persistent problem-solving capability.

Excellent program management, communication, and stakeholder networking skills.

Demonstrated familiarity with semiconductor industry trends and best practices, including continuous improvement, AEC-Q100, zero-defects strategies, 8D problem-solving, quality processes, advanced testing, manufacturing methodologies, and failure analysis.

Solid understanding of integrated circuit design, wafer fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
