About the Role

Skyworks is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician to install, set up, calibrate semiconductor manufacturing equipment, perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues, and collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize processes and improve yield and efficiency. The role also involves maintaining maintenance logs and training operators, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Install, set up, and calibrate semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure proper operation before production use.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimize production delays.
  • Work with engineers and production teams to optimize equipment processes and improve performance, yield, and efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, equipment status reports, and documentation for compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Provide training to operators and other technicians on equipment operation and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring safe practices are followed.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment maintenance, specifically with tools such as Wet Etch, Dry Etch, Plating, Metrology, Wafer Bonders, Resist Coaters, Developers and/or Sputtering.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain tools within these categories.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certifications in related fields preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom environments, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
  • Experience with PLC programming, automated systems, and diagnostics tools is a plus.
