Position Summary As a semiconductor equipment engineer on the Innovation Equipment team, you will lead technical improvement projects that support semiconductor manufacturing performance. You will apply your equipment engineering expertise to evaluate operating performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop practical solutions. You will work with fab engineering teams, equipment analytics specialists, vendors, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to identify performance gaps, validate solutions, and coordinate implementation. This role requires semiconductor equipment engineering experience, supported by data analysis and technical project management skills.

Role and Responsibilities Your Impact (Responsibilities)

  • Lead Equipment Improvement Projects: Lead fab-wide equipment engineering projects, coordinating across engineering teams and business units to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Optimize Workflows: Facilitate Lean activities, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), process mapping, and AIW, to eliminate waste and increase efficiency.
  • Resolve Technical Performance Gaps: Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze gap-to-goal equipment performance, investigate contributing factors, and implement technical improvements to achieve performance targets.
  • Communicate Technical Recommendations: Create and deliver presentations and proposals for staff and executive leadership, explaining technical findings, recommended solutions, and expected outcomes.
  • Address Emerging Equipment Challenges: Apply semiconductor equipment engineering knowledge to assess emerging issues, develop solutions, and adjust project priorities.
  • Apply Equipment Analytics: Partner with the equipment analytics and solutions team to interpret complex data, evaluate improvement options, and implement scalable solutions.

Skills and Qualifications What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Five or more years of semiconductor equipment engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience analyzing equipment performance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing engineering improvements.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor equipment operating principles and maintenance practices.
  • Proven experience applying Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to industrial processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as TIBCO Spotfire, JMP, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing technical projects or programs, including scope, schedules, stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Programming experience in Python or SQL.
  • Experience with full stack development or cloud computing.
