About the Role The Lawson Group provides management for self-insured workers’ compensation programs. This role is focused on locally delivering hands-on management of an individual self-insured program with an emphasis on loss prevention, claims management, and clear, people-first communication. You’ll work with a NH-based team to run the program as a long-term, practical partnership focused on safety and return-to-work. What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a self-insured workers’ comp program for client sites in New Hampshire
  • Provide loss control and safety support on the floor to prevent injuries and improve claim outcomes
  • Lead claims administration, including first report of injury, in-house adjusting, and coordination with carriers and vendors
  • Ensure clear, proactive communication for supervisors and employees and coordinate with site leadership
  • Coordinate litigation when needed, without unnecessary escalation, with dedicated local support
  • Support program management and reporting, including documentation, filings, and NH Department of Labor self-insurance compliance
  • Align reserve and financial coordination with your financial partners and/or actuarial advisors
  • Deliver nurse case management and return-to-work planning (job matching, restrictions, transitional duty)
  • Keep cases moving to minimize delays and manage long-tail claims as part of a long-term strategy
  • Leverage the Lawson Group’s dedicated Loss Control Consultant and Claims Manager to support client success
  • Provide ongoing safety and risk-management guidance to reduce injuries and costs What We're Looking For
  • Experience managing workers’ compensation programs and/or self-insured programs
  • Knowledge of New Hampshire self-insurance requirements, DOL filings, and program oversight
  • Strong claims management skills (loss control, return-to-work, and coordination with adjusters)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with supervisors, employees, and partners
  • Comfort working in a locally supported, client-facing environment
  • Ability to manage long-tail claims and work with actuarial or financial partners as needed
  • Willingness to be onsite in New Hampshire and engage in practical, people-first safety work
