About the Role The Lawson Group provides guidance and management for self-insured workers’ compensation programs in New Hampshire. This role focuses on helping employers gain control over long-term costs and claim outcomes by supporting individual and group self-insurance approaches, loss control, claims management, and return-to-work coordination. What You'll Do
- Provide practical oversight and ongoing support to keep self-insured programs running smoothly.
- Assist with loss control, proactive safety, and incident prevention initiatives.
- Manage active claims, maintain reasonable caseloads, and ensure timely contact and recovery steps.
- Coordinate medical direction, provider relationships, and cost-control measures (bill review, pharmacy management).
- Handle financial filings and reimbursement processes like the Second Injury Fund (SIF) and NH Department of Labor assessments.
- Advise on whether self-insurance is suitable for a business by evaluating payroll stability, risk tolerance, and financial capacity. What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of self-insurance concepts and the two program paths (individual self-insurance and self-insured groups).
- Ability to work with employers to assess fit, explain requirements, and outline ongoing support.
- Experience with loss control, claims management, and working with occupational health providers.
- Emphasis on prevention and return-to-work coordination.
