Job title: Security Systems Technician (Unlicensed)

About the Role Install, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair Integrated Security System field devices and CCTV equipment as part of Dana-Farber's Lockshop. The role supports door hardware, access control, and related mechanical systems across onsite facilities, delivering strong customer service under IUOE Local 877 bargaining terms.

What You'll Do

• Install, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair Integrated Security System field devices (card readers, door position switches, magnetic locks, electric strikes, electric lock sets, electronic push-to-exit devices, Voice Video Intercom/Remote Release devices, panic alarms, control panels, and other equipment).
• Install, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair closed circuit camera installations (analog and IP-based systems, including IP encoders, fixed and PTZ cameras) and work with digital video management systems.
• Install and maintain mechanical door hardware (mortise locks, cylindrical locks, door closers, operators, hinges) and, as needed, cut keys and install cores.
• Complete work orders and preventive maintenance orders and deliver a high level of customer service.
• Support the Lockshop under the direction of the Lockshop Manager and contribute to reliable operation of facilities while managing costs.

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical training in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience installing and maintaining physical security hardware and systems.
• Ability to obtain Security technician license.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass criminal background screening.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team; strong problem-solving ability; calm under stress; multitasking.
• Reliable, flexible, self-starter with initiative; good manual dexterity; ability to listen and communicate effectively with others.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CCURE access control systems is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $48.99 - $51.56.
• Location: Onsite at 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
