About the Role Canonical is seeking a Security Risk Management Specialist to establish and execute a broad strategic vision for the security risk program. The role involves identifying, tracking and reducing security risk across Canonical’s products and operations, and working cross-functionally with teams to apply industry best practices and emerging threat information to risk identification, quantification, impact analysis, and modelling for informed decision making.
What You'll Do
- Establish and execute a broad strategic vision for the security risk program at Canonical.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams across the organization.
- Identify, track, and reduce security risk using industry best practices and emerging threat information.
- Promote risk identification, quantification, impact analysis, and modelling to drive decision making.
- Contribute ideas and requirements for Canonical product security, improving resilience and robustness of Ubuntu customers and users subject to cyber attacks.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in security risk management, risk assessment, and threat information analysis.
- Ability to identify, quantify, and analyze the impact of security risks.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to work with teams across the organization.
- Understanding of product security and the resilience needs of Ubuntu customers and users.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to set and execute a program-wide vision.
