Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Charleston, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: 15.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 06:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 05:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 05:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 04:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, access issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic or parking-related needs while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
