As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to evolving site needs. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM Thur 11:30 PM - 08:00 AM Sun 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
