Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Glen Allen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain an orderly environment for personnel and guests.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
