Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will help maintain a secure environment through badge verification, visitor screening, alarm response, and access monitoring. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity or irregular conditions.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required records, and communicate relevant security-related information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
