As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Steward in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors, tenants, and team members while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity; report irregularities, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State guard license is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
