Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, document observations, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.

• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
