As a Security Officer - Patrol - Community Shelter in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.

• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, following established visitor management and access-control procedures.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and observed conditions in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

• Handcuffing certification is preferred.

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
