What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter common areas, entrances, exits, grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, documenting observations and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
