You will support security-related response efforts, including assisting with disruptive individuals when needed, while helping to deter incidents through a visible presence. Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:30 AM - 03:00 PM Fri10:30 PM - 07:00 AM Sun06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Screen patients, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site procedures, including verifying access authorization and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate healthcare personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with managing visitor flow and access points while maintaining a professional, respectful, and customer-focused presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
