Job Description

• We are seeking a vigilant, disciplined, and responsible Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, hotel facilities, and property.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring access to the premises, preventing security breaches, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe and orderly environment within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the hotel premises, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property.
• Control access to the hotel by verifying visitors and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols of designated areas to identify and address potential security risks.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and report suspicious activities or security concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, security checks, and daily activities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
• Ensure that hotel rules and security procedures are followed by guests, employees, and visitors.
• Protect hotel assets and report cases of theft, damage, unauthorised access, or suspicious behaviour.
• Assist with crowd control and maintain order during hotel events and busy periods.
• Coordinate with hotel management and relevant emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure that emergency exits and access routes remain clear and accessible.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE; additional qualifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in security services, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good observation skills and the ability to identify potential security risks.
• Strong sense of discipline, integrity, and responsibility.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act appropriately during emergencies.
• Physically capable of carrying out routine patrols and assigned duties.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and first aid is an advantage.
• Professional appearance and a respectful attitude towards guests and colleagues.
