What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel at a government location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.

Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor and employee activity in accordance with site procedures.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.

Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

An armed guard card or license is required.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
