Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Inspection in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation environment, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to riders, employees, and visitors. You will communicate observations, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: 22.83 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM Wed 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM Thur 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM Fri 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sat 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel at public transportation facilities while following site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activities throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and public agency representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
