Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Accountability in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity and innovation.

What You'll Do
-
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery entry in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain controlled access to critical areas.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.

Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
