Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Threat Detection in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, retailers, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, surrounding sidewalks, building entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity in public-facing areas, and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
