Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Technology Company Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Thu 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and promptly communicate observations and incidents to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
