Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Security Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and resident concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential apartment community.

• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking facilities, leasing areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, verifying visitor, vendor, and delivery access in accordance with site-specific procedures.

• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, residents, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
