As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Verification in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help address security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect temporary access badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter, to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support a professional environment by directing visitors, enforcing access requirements, and reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
