Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Site Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and first responders while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
