What You'll Do
-
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement location.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other designated areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.

Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.

Monitor access points and screen authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as directed; maintain awareness of restricted areas and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.

Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisory staff and law-enforcement personnel.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

An armed guard card or license is required.

CPR certification is preferred.

Baton certification is preferred.

Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
