Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Mobile Patrol in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government law-enforcement location.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and applicable procedures.

• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of activity throughout the assigned location.

• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation, and promptly communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

• An armed guard card or license is required.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Baton certification is preferred.

• Pepper spray certification is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
