Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Access Point Security in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and report security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. This role values teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation, with opportunities to use computer or tablet systems.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related access authorizations, and control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
