Job Description

As a Security Officer New York State Licensed Patrol in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government services location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and care. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining professional interactions with individuals accessing government services.

• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
