Job Description

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in Oakland, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure environment. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, complete security-related documentation, and may operate a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit in accordance with site procedures, including screening deliveries and coordinating access for vendors and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
