As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining awareness of restricted locations.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
