Security Manager

About the Role BioNTech is seeking a Security Manager to establish and maintain the plant security management system in alignment with corporate security requirements and local laws, ensuring a secure manufacturing environment. What You'll Do

• Establish and maintain the plant security management system based on corporate security requirements and local laws, and align with factory needs.
• Manage technical operations and daily security tasks and security project execution, supervision, and monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and processes; conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate standards and processes.
• Operate and manage security technology systems (electronic access control, CCTV, intrusion detection).
• Conduct operational audits and alert interventions to safeguard site security.
• Collect/monitor security-related KPIs; initiate preventive and reactive security measures.
• Guide external security vendors for daily operations and provide on-site support when needed (e.g., special events).
• Report, handle, and document security-related incidents; assist in immediate measures and report issues or suspicious activities.
• Build good relationships with local public safety authorities.
• Complete tasks assigned by supervisors. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree or above; 8+ years of security or related experience.
• Thorough understanding of security management in manufacturing enterprises.
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills; self-motivated; good team player; problem-solving and project-oriented.
• Good physical and mental resilience; law-abiding; rigorous; professional security mindset.
• Incident response capability; high sense of responsibility and diligence.
• Fluent spoken English; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Nice to Have
• Experience coordinating external security vendors.
