Job title: Security Incident Response Engineer
About the Role Lead and execute security incident response and threat hunting activities across the organization, ensuring rapid containment, effective recovery, and continuous improvement. This role collaborates closely with the SOC Manager and business stakeholders to align on incident response objectives in a fully remote environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage all aspects of Security Incident Response and Threat Hunting including validation, monitoring, containment, log analysis, system forensic analysis, and reporting.
- Work closely with SOC Manager and business stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
- Conduct post-incident reviews, assess control effectiveness, and drive improvements with responsible owners.
- Create SOPs and Playbooks to standardize incident handling.
- Brief and update senior leadership and other stakeholders on active incidents and manage expectations.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years’ experience in IT Security and related areas (Security Operations Centre, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Digital Forensics, Threat Hunting, Malware Analysis).
- Experience handling Incident Response for diverse financial organization environments.
- Proven hands-on experience handling security events in mission-critical environments, including troubleshooting, analysis, and guiding team resolution per SLA.
- In-depth understanding of incident response frameworks such as NIST.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in creation of SOPs and Playbooks.
