Job Description As a Security Guard Full conductng patrols in an Upscale Supermarket Chain located in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment for shoppers and team members while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: 19.48 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM Wed 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM Thu 03:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, team members, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
