About this role

About the Role The Security Guard (PRN) at Logan Health monitors premises, facilities and assigned area(s) to prevent theft, violence and infractions of rules. He/She secures and protects the facility in case of fires, natural disasters or hazardous events and responds to code calls. This role supports patient safety and security across assigned areas on a PRN basis. What You'll Do

  • Patrol assigned premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry.
  • Regularly examine doors, windows and gates for security and identify suspicious activity.
  • Interact professionally with staff, escorts staff, patients and/or visitors to and from locations on foot or in patrol vehicle as requested.
  • Respond to emergency alarms and code situations; assist with crowd control and evacuation as required.
  • Composes reports and documents interactions as required by SOPs; liaison with local law enforcement as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of floor plans and all entry/exit points; perform lockdowns as assigned.
  • Investigate and report signs of damage or unlawful activity; document actions/results of security activity.
  • Detain or question unauthorized or suspicious individuals; call local police as appropriate.
  • Ensure parking-lot security and verify parking placards; monitor vehicles for suspicious activity.
  • Participate in trainings and drills; drive the ground ambulance as required and transport documents/money as necessary. What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of one (1) year security or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must meet Montana State Security Officer licensing requirements and obtain license within 30 days of hire.
  • Current Driver’s License with a driving record clear of moving violations in the past five years and no major driving offenses.
  • Heartsaver CPR certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Healthcare environment experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and independently; ability to manage confidential situations with tact.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn other software as needed. Nice to Have
  • Experience driving/operating in emergency services; ambulance driving experience.
  • Ability to adapt to varied departmental needs and scheduling. Compensation & Benefits
