About the Role Johnson Controls is seeking a Security & Fire Equipment Service Technician based in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role focuses on servicing and maintaining security and fire equipment to ensure safety and compliance for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine service, maintenance, and repair of security and fire equipment
- Install, test, and commission equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with customers and internal teams
What We're Looking For
- Experience or interest in security and/or fire protection equipment is preferred
- Ability to read basic schematics/diagrams and follow procedures
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Prior field service experience with security or fire systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
