Security Coordinator

About the Role Responsible for ensuring company sites are protected within Nigerian laws and for the security and protection of clients, personnel, equipment, and fixed assets. You will oversee internal and external security operatives and coordinate security activities across company sites, reporting to the Security Manager. What You'll Do

• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day activities of Internal & External Security Operatives and report to the Security Manager on a daily basis.
• Identify and compile training needs of individual security employees.
• Conduct discreet investigations of all reported cases and hand over to security agencies as appropriate.
• Submit weekly surveillance reports on illegal activities/encroachment on Obijackson Group landed property presently not in use.
• Report to Security Manager any security incidents or imminent threats identified within company operational areas.
• Oversee deployment of Government Security Forces (GSF) troops and their day-to-day administration, reporting to the Security Manager.
• Ensure processing of all payments to GSF and local security providers.
• Ensure good conduct of all security personnel at their assigned duty posts.
• Coordinate requests/provision of escorts for all movements on land and water.
• Supervise and detail armed security personnel for escort of Expat staff.
• Compile weekly/monthly security statistical reports to the Security Manager.
• Induct/orient newly employed security operatives.
• Coach and supervise security operatives.
• Receipt of security complaints and take appropriate actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to security rules and standards.
• Report to Security Manager on any security incidents or imminent threats.
• Submit detailed security reports to Security Manager.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures and comply with safe work methods as required.
• Perform any other duty as assigned by Supervisor/line Manager.
