Job title: Security Ambassador - Weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7am-5:30pm)
About the Role Join Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Security Ambassador for weekends. Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, you will provide guest services to patients and visitors, delivering a high level of service and maintaining a safe environment. This role serves as the initial point of contact and helps project a positive image for the institute.
What You'll Do
- Provide assistance, direction, concierge and other guest services to patients and visitors.
- Welcome and acknowledge visitors, patients, and staff; provide information and directions; anticipate needs.
- Assist individuals with disabilities and mobility issues with obtaining transportation and other services.
- Communicate patient, visitor, and staff requests to other departments (transportation, patient relations, environmental services) to ensure complete follow-up.
- Help coordinate patient transportation out of the hospital (taxi, shuttle, etc.).
- Maintain assigned post area in clean and orderly fashion.
- Provide a security presence, including conflict resolution, access control and enforcing rules as required.
- Report and stay current on security issues and concerns.
- Provide support to Security field staff during fires, mass casualty events, HAZMAT occurrences, medical emergencies and other emergencies as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED, at least one year of customer service experience (preferably two years in healthcare or hospitality).
- Ability to pass an initial and annual criminal background check.
- Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid (will be provided).
- Excellent communication skills, friendly and service-oriented attitude; multi-language abilities preferred.
- Reliable and flexible.
- Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $40,000 - $44,200 per year.
- Weekend Shift Differential eligibility as noted in posting.
