Dangote Cement Plc - Sectional Head, Electrical

Job Summary

The Sectional Head, Electrical at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for Electrical maintenance of LS Crushers to packing plants including planning preventive maintenance, operations and management. They may also be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient use of plant resources.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies.
  • Overseeing maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance operations.
  • Ensuring adequate spares are available for maintenance.
  • Creating and implementing measures to minimize breakdown and repairs.
  • Planning and overseeing repair and installation activities.
  • Monitoring equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary.
  • Managing contractors on site to ensures they meet legal and company requirements.
  • Enforcing health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Developing short and long term maintenance programs for all section's equipment.
  • Coordinating sections to ensure inspections, asessments and adjustments.
  • Evaluating the persisting problems and resolve permanently.
  • Ensuring critical production equipment are in good working condition.
  • Monitoring maintenance activities for efficiency and safety.
  • Overseeing technicial staff and providing expertise training as required.
  • Enforcing occupational health work procedures and regulations.
  • Manage spares and maintenance planning for shutdown preparation for crushers, stackers, reclaimers and rawmills.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the head of electrical.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of post-qualification experience.
  • Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
  • Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System),
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management.
  • Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
  • Good knowledge of Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and safety standards and TPM
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational Awareness
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
