About this role
The Section Manager is responsible for developing a business plan for the consumptive utilization of wildlife on the Miershoop Pan Farm, the implementation of this business plan, as well as leading all sustainable wildlife-management operations that support the Khomani San community and the establishment of a viable wildlife economy at Miershoop Pan within the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The role provides operational oversight to the Project Manager by coordinating daily farm and field activities, managing the reintroduction of indigenous wildlife to maintain ecological balance and long-term conservation viability, and supervising regulated harvesting and hunting logistics. The Section Manager ensures effective wildlife monitoring systems, supports contractors, upholds ESMS/ESMP and OHS compliance requirements, delivers accurate operational reporting, and drives the implementation of community wildlife-economy objectives.
