Section Chief of Arthroplasty

About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seek a Section Chief of Arthroplasty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery to lead and oversee clinical, educational, and research activities within the Division of Arthroplasty. The position is at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and requires a strategic, collaborative leader focused on advancing patient care, innovation, and education. What You'll Do

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Division of Arthroplasty. Recruit, retain, and cultivate a collaborative faculty team to expand the division, increase surgical volume, and foster development of new techniques and technologies.
• Collaborate with departmental and institutional leadership to align division goals with the broader mission of the College of Medicine and UC Health.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality arthroplasty services with emphasis on patient safety and outcomes.
• Expand the outpatient arthroplasty program and build out a complementary robotic arthroplasty program.
• Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices in arthroplasty, including registry requirements.
• Lead the division's educational programs, including residency training in arthroplasty and updating the resident curriculum for adult reconstruction and arthroplasty.
• Drive the division's research agenda, promote innovative research, and collaborate with faculty in other divisions.
• Secure extramural funding and support faculty in obtaining research grants; assist in developing a clinical trials program for the division. What We're Looking For
• MD, DO or foreign equivalent.
• Successful completion of an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency.
• Successful completion of an Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.
• Demonstrable record of academic achievement with incrementally increased regional and national reputation. Final rank commensurate with experience. Nice to Have
